My research expertise has been focused in the study of phylogenetics and phylogeography of autochthonous European plants, through the application of molecular, bioinformatics and statistical methods. During my MSc and PhD periods at University of Oviedo, I’ve acquired an extensive hands-on expertise and in techniques such as PCR, sequencing, phylogenetic three building, haplotype network construction, AFLP, and Microsatellite genotyping. Those skills have allowed me to develop a solid scientific background in plant biology.
